The Market-Oriented Dairy (MOD) Project, based in Sri Lanka, is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) ‘Food for Progress’ initiative and implemented by the International Executive Services Corps (IESC), a Washington, DC-based not-for-profit organization.

This needed a Solution to monitor and manage the process of Artificial Insemination efficiently. A platform which makes it easy for the AI service providers to assist farmers.
Additionally, they required a system to a marketplace for farmers to buy and sell their needs, including cattle, silages, fodder, and other essential equipment. The existing processes were largely manual, resulting in delayed information flow and limited capacity for proactive decision-making.

Cyber Concepts developed a mobile application tailored to the needs of the MOD project, providing a comprehensive solution that addressed the identified challenges. Key features included: 1. Artificial Insemination (AI) Services:
  • Integrated AI services to assist farmers with various practices which improves productivity and efficiency.
  • Features included advisory on crop management, cattle health, and optimal resource utilization.
2. Trading Platform:
  • Created a robust marketplace within the application for farmers to buy and sell their needs, including cattle, silages, fodder, and other essential equipment.
